Digital Strategist

Develops website user experience strategies, including information design, content strategy and lead–generation tactics, and leads website usability testing across all phases of site development. Distills research and analytic findings, explains their strategic/tactical marketing implications and how they can be used to create effective and efficient interactive marketing strategies, and reports website performance analytics and ROI modeling. Keeps senior management fully informed of account activity, challenges and opportunities.

Flash Developer

Programs websites, banners and application builds in Flash. Takes creative assets and transforms them into Flash builds. Works closely with creative and production teams to materialize creative vision. Also responsible for the development, testing, implementation and maintenance of Flash and ActionScript–based components or applications. A Bachelor's degree and strong knowledge with Flash is required. Proficiency in Javascript, CSS, XML, HTML or other web–programming is preferred, as is experience using Adobe Creative Suite software.

Information Architect

Works with customers to understand their business models and goals and helps define strategy, content and features for design of their website. Analyzes audiences and their information and functional needs, and defines site architecture and navigation that serves as a blueprint of the site upon which all other aspects are built. Also responsible for creating wireframes, site maps, schematics, process maps, feature lists, mockups, visual specification, working prototypes and other artifacts to describe the intended user experience. A Bachelor's degree and strong knowledge of site design, user interface design processes and methodology, and architecture–related software (Illustrator, Visio, Photoshop, SQL Server, Acrobat, Dreamweaver) are required.

Interactive Art Director

Leads and manages a cross–functional design team in the conception, design and execution of visual materials for integrated, cross–channel initiatives. Translates business objectives into interactive creative solutions. Other responsibilities may include creating presentations and project plans, meeting with clients, and ensuring successful representation of clients' brands in the online sphere, including sophisticated website design, user interface and interactive campaigns.

Interactive Creative Director

Leads interactive creative teams in the process of concept creation and user experience. Oversees the development of concept boards/storyboards, presentation materials, etc. for projects, and presents design concepts and rationale to key clients. Works closely with interactive strategists, creative and technical directors, and other team members to review client strategies and develop strategic recommendations.

Interactive Designer

Designs visual components for the Web and software applications. Other duties include evaluating designs based on usability and influence, creating working prototypes of customized web applications, and serving as the liaison between design and development teams.

Interactive Marketing Manager

Manages day–to–day operation of a company's website and provides analytics review. Additional responsibilities may include managing an organization's e–mail marketing program, ensuring implementation of new marketing initiatives and helping to identify new marketing opportunities, and collaborating with senior management to manage multichannel marketing assets associated with product launches.

Interactive Producer

Oversees development and implementation of a website, coordinating efforts of third–party vendors, Internet service providers and the web team. Must be able to take proactive lead in ensuring optimum website usability and simplicity for customers, and manage website updates and improvements through internal coordination with IT development, business owners and quality assurance teams. Additional responsibilities may include analyzing web measurement data to make recommendations and implement improvements, working closely with the design team to ensure designs are translated accurately into visually compelling web pages, coding and testing websites, and communicating changes to critical users, including senior management.

Interactive Project Manager

Plans, organizes and executes multimedia projects. Meets with clients to understand needs, determine specifications and coordinate planning. Strong interpersonal skills and an eye for detail are essential, as is the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and creative teams. This position also may be known as "project leader" or "media consultant."

Interactive Traffic Manager

Responsible for trafficking online initiatives, including advertising campaigns, inventory reporting and analysis, and communicating with clients throughout all stages of an initiative. Additional duties may include assisting a sales team to ensure sourced text links, and all copy and creative material are properly tested and tracked; preparing online traffic reports by sourcing appropriate data; and manipulating it into weekly, monthly and/or end–of–campaign reports.

Online Community Manager

Creates and manages online communities for a company, and interacts daily with users to promote a company’s brand.

Online Editor

Develops editorial plans and oversees day–to–day updating of website content. Also may manage e–newsletters and blogs, in addition to monitoring user–generated content in online forums. Works with teams comprised of a creative director, designer, information architects, staff copywriters and freelancers. Duties include writing, editing and proofreading a variety of content, including articles and product descriptions. Requires a combination of strong writing, editorial and team–work skills. Familiarity with web design and content management programs also is necessary.

SEO/SEM Specialist

Responsible for formalizing search engine optimization (SEO) strategies and tactics and helps lead the technology team in their implementation across all websites and any brand extensions (e.g., widgets, applications). Serves as a functional expert when devising and executing inbound linking strategies (e.g., search engine marketing (SEM), cross–linking, social media marketing). Works closely with marketing and product development teams as well as agency partners. Typical duties include: analyzing website traffic and providing well–defined technical, design, content, optimization strategies for search engine improvement; developing SEO website assessments and recommendations and translating them into technical requirements; providing SEO guidance in technical areas (e.g., server infrastructure, website structure and page construction); reviewing and managing all page tagging; and consistently analyzing changing opportunities and monitoring trends in search engine algorithms and important keywords. A Bachelor's degree and in–depth knowledge of SEO and online media is required.

User Experience/User Interface (UX/UI) Designer

Responsible for developing frameworks for how users will think and behave. Other duties include evaluating designs based on usability and influence, writing functional requirement documents and specifications, and promoting usability best practices.

Web Analytics Specialist

Works closely with development team to determine daily project status and ensure online initiatives provide proper utilization. Makes recommendations regarding process improvements and assists in the development of utilization performance policies and procedures. May assist in preparation of surveys, requests for proposals or accreditation, participate in client discussions regarding project status, and provide technology insights and recommendations.

Web Animator

Creates and designs animated images and motion graphics for websites, video games, CD–ROMs and DVDs. Requires an art or design background, and knowledge of software such as Flash, Director, Photoshop, Illustrator and ImageReady. Knowledge of Maya, After Effects, Final Cut Pro and 3D Studio Max is helpful.

Web Content Writer

Writes clear and compelling website content, including articles, product descriptions, online advertisements, promotional copy, e–newsletters, blogs and podcast scripts. Edits and repurposes existing print copy for the Web, and plans and crafts e–mail marketing campaigns. Requires strong writing and editing skills. HTML and search engine optimization skills are a plus.

Web Designer

Designs Internet and intranet sites that accurately reflect an organization's goals, objectives and identity. Creates the concepts, artwork and layout for sites and other online projects based on creative briefs and client meetings. Uses web–page and design software such as Dreamweaver, Flash, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, ImageReady, Fireworks and WYSIWYG editors. Should be familiar with web protocols such as HTML, CSS, XML and JSP. Understanding of web design issues, including browser usability and cross–platform compatibility is necessary. Requires design and troubleshooting skills, as well as an eye for detail.

Web Developer

Develops web–based applications and works on website maintenance and enhancements. Other duties include writing web pages in a combination of codes and assisting in the coding and testing of technical solutions.

Web Production Artist

Prepares art for online production. Enters content into websites, including graphics, video, text and related links. Manages graphics and production requests, and maintains web production schedules. Must be proficient in web programs and design software, and be familiar with file formats and optimizing graphics for the Web. Knowledge of content management systems and digital–video encoding is a plus.
